FAREWELL TO SPRING
送春
Thousands of willow twigs beyond my bower sway;
樓外垂楊千萬縷,
They try to retain spring, but she won’t stay
欲系青春,
For long and goes away.
少住春還去。
In vernal breeze the willow down still wafts with grace;
猶自風前飄柳絮,
It tries to follow spring to find her dwelling place.
隨春且看歸何處?
Hills and rills greened all over, I hear cuckoos sing;
綠滿山川聞杜宇,
Feeling no grief, why should they give me a sharp sting?
便作無情,
With wine cup in hand, I
莫也愁人苦。
Ask spring who won’t reply.
把酒問春春不語,
When evening grizzles,
A cold rain drizzles.
黃昏卻下瀟瀟雨。
