英語(yǔ)早間課堂:話說(shuō)地道美語(yǔ) Lesson 23(4)

我們來(lái)看第一題。中文句子是——我曾經(jīng)在五年前做過(guò)監(jiān)獄，釋放后我已經(jīng)改過(guò)自新了，可是人們還是處處找我的茬兒，挑我的刺。

英文句子是—— one time, I really prison I turned a new leaf, from jail. However, some of them have on my case what I five years . 這道題有12個(gè)空格，需要填寫的單詞依次如下: At，been，in，over，having, been, released，from，been， about，did，ago。順利地完成此題，關(guān)鍵是一些表達(dá)法和語(yǔ)法。

首先，我們來(lái)看表達(dá)法。曾經(jīng)的表述法是at one time。坐過(guò)監(jiān)獄的表述法是in prison。改過(guò)自新的表述法是turn over a new leaf。釋放的表述法是release sb from jail。挑刺找茬的表述法是on one's case。對(duì)......挑三揀四的表述法師o(wú)n one's case about sth。下面我們就依次來(lái)看下這些短語(yǔ)。

這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的意思是改過(guò)自新，洗心革面，重新開(kāi)始，重新做人。例如：You must turn over a new leaf and work as hard as possible. 你必須洗心革面，竭盡全力地工作。(as hard as possible 盡可能努力地;竭盡全力)I'm going to turn over a new leaf and I've decided to stop drinking wine. 我要革除惡習(xí)，決定戒酒了。(stop doing sth 停止做某事)

3. release sb from jail
