Face the music可不是“面對音樂”，真正的意思和你想象得完全不同！

“Music”是我們生活中必不可少的一種聽覺享受，沒有音樂，生活在某些時候會變得索然無味。有了音樂的日子，讓平凡的場景也變得多姿多彩。但是今天學習的這個俚語“Face the music”可不是它字面的意思“面對音樂”。這個俗語真正意思可能讓你完全想象不到。

receive criticism or punishment, accept unpleasant consequences of your actions

接受批評或懲罰, 承擔自己行為的后果;

起源：

這個短語始于美國19世紀。據(jù)說是來源于劇場。在舞臺上，演員經(jīng)常會由于緊張或怯場而造成忘詞等尷尬的局面，只要音樂一響，演員就沒有任何選擇的余地，只能去face the music（必須承受出現(xiàn)的局面）。人們遂用face the music指承擔自己行為的后果。
