她那股熱情勁兒會(huì)讓客戶受不了的。

kill someone with kindness字面意思是：“用溫柔殺死某人”，這只是一種夸張說法，其真正含義為：“熱情得讓人受不了”。打個(gè)比方，你去購(gòu)物，本來只是想買件襯衣，可熱情有加的服務(wù)員不僅為你拿來了襯衣，還幫你搭配領(lǐng)帶、外套、褲子、鞋子，稱贊你眼光獨(dú)到、品位極高。最后你全都買下來了，不禁感嘆被他們的熱情給殺死了。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說"She'd kill the client with kindness."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"She is too zealous to the client."、"She is too enthusiastic to the client."。
