昨晚我熬了一整夜。

pull an all-nighter 的意思是：“通宵熬夜，開夜車”。這個短語一般用在年輕人的口語中，經常指考試之前熬通宵地死記硬背，也可指工作時為了某個大項目的會議或者展示通宵地工作。因此，當美國人說"I pulled anall-nighter last night."時，他/她要表達的意思就是:"I stayed up all night."、"I burned the midnight oil last night."、"I worked until deep into the night yesterday."。
