Don't give me the runaround again.

give someone the runaround 是一句比較流行的美式習(xí)慣用語，單看runaround是由run和around組合而來，可聯(lián)想為“領(lǐng)著別人到處跑”，進(jìn)而引申為“回避，搪塞”，所以這個(gè)短語的意思是：“敷衍塞責(zé)，搪塞某人”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"Don't give me the runaround again."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Don't stall me off with such unreasonable excuses."、"Don't just pay lip-service to me."。
