我國首座國家基因庫在深圳啟動試運行

　　The first national gene bank, built by China's generesearch giant BGI, started trial operation lastSaturday in Shenzhen.

　　我國首個國家級基因庫上周六在深圳投入試運行。該基因庫由國內基因研究巨頭華大基因建設。

　　Wang Jian, chairman of the company, said the genebank has a collection of 10m samples of biologicalresources. The project is expected to boostresearch and business in fields of health, agriculture,diverse species and environmental protection.

　　據(jù)華大基因董事長汪建介紹，該基因庫已存儲生物資源樣本1000萬份。該項目將推動健康、農(nóng)業(yè)、物種多樣性和環(huán)保等領域的研究和業(yè)務。

　　Approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2011, the facility isdedicated to storing and managing the country's unique genetic resources and data, as wellas biological information.

　　該基因庫于2011年由國家發(fā)改委批復，用于儲存和管理我國特殊的基因資源、數(shù)據(jù)和生物信息。

　　Wang said the company also plans to set up a national laboratory on genomics.

　　汪建稱，該公司還計劃建立一座國家級的基因組學實驗室。

　　In addition, BGI announced on June 19th, 2016 that it, along with several institutionalinvestors, launched a startup incubator on application of gene technology.

　　同時，華大基因于2016年6月19日宣布，公司獲得一些機構的投資，將正式啟動基因技術應用創(chuàng)投孵化平臺。

　　The company promised to open its technology platform and data to members of theincubator.

　　公司保證將向其他初創(chuàng)公司公開科技平臺和數(shù)據(jù)。
