好萊塢籌拍馬云傳記電影
Founder of the Alibaba Group Jack Ma could be the subject of a movie.
The man has just become the richest man in China after Alibaba's record-breaking IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. On its first day of trading, Alibaba raised 21.8 billion dollars. And Ma's fortune has been estimated at about 25 billion dollars.
Producer Janet Yang is looking to set up an international co-production focusing on Ma and his life.
As she tries to solicit support from Hollywood companies, a script is already available.
Bruce Feirstein, who write 007 stories, has written a script for Yang called Alibaba, covering a period from Ma's youth, the time he founded Alibaba in his tiny apartment in Hanzhou, China 15 years ago and his battle against eBay in China.
If all goes well, shooting is expected to take place both in China and the US.
