I've reviewed your X-rays and I'm sorry to say thatthe rest of your upper teeth will have to be removed.

They're in hopeless condition. You need a full upper denture (upper plate).
實(shí)在是沒有辦法了，你需要按上一副上排假牙。
Oh no! Can't anything be done?

I'm sorry, look at your X-rays.

That's why most of your teeth are loose.

With this method, the posterior (back) teeth are extracted first.

The gums must heal for at least one month before the denture is begun.

You'll keep your anterior (front) teeth until the denture is made.

How long will it take? How many appointments will be needed?
需要多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間?需要預(yù)約治療幾次?
I can begin to make your new teeth after the gums have healed from the extraction of theback teeth. That will take at least one month. After that, it will take two weeks to make thedenture.
在拔了后面的牙齒牙齦長(zhǎng)好以后，我會(huì)著手給你做上新的假牙，這樣做至少一個(gè)月，完了之后，做全列假牙需要兩個(gè)星期的時(shí)間。
What will you do on the first appointment?
在第一次預(yù)約治療室該怎么辦?
On the first appointment, I'll make plaster models of your jaws. My dental laboratorytechnician will help me to make your denture on the models. On the second visit, I'll make arecord of your bite relations using wax forms like this one.
在第一次預(yù)約治療時(shí)，我會(huì)給你做上、下頜的石膏模型，我們牙科制造室的技術(shù)人員會(huì)幫我在模型上給你做假牙，在第二次預(yù)約治療時(shí)，我就要用像這樣的模型來(lái)印下你的咬合關(guān)系。
I'll place your new teeth in the wax form to be sure that they fit with your lower teeth.

After that, I have to see you for minor adjustments to insure a good fit and eliminate sorespots.

About six months after the denture is inserted, I'll have to reline or remake it, because thegums will shrink and the denture will become loose.
在安上假牙后六個(gè)月，因?yàn)檠例l會(huì)萎縮，假牙會(huì)松動(dòng)，我還得將假牙的邊緣修一修或重新再做。
I think that this will be very expensive. How would you like me to pay my bill?

May I pay my bill over a period of time?

Yes. I'd like you to pay one half of the fee at the beginning of treatment
可以，你可以在治療開始時(shí)先付一半，
and the remainder of the fee on the day that the denture is inserted.
另外一半則在安上假牙那一天付。
I understand. However, I just feel worried about wearing a denture.
明白了，可是，我就是擔(dān)心戴假牙。
Don't worry. I know that you're disappointed and apprehensive.
不用擔(dān)心，我知道你心里不踏實(shí)，有些顧慮，
I'll make your new teeth fit as well as possible.

You'll get accustomed (get used) to them in a very short time.

The shape, size, and color will be ideal for you. They'll be arranged to look like natural teeth.Your denture will not look like artificial.

It will be made to support your cheeks and lips, so that you can keep the natural shape of yourface.
這假牙會(huì)做得支持住你的臉頰和嘴唇，這樣就可以保持住你臉不自然的形狀。
