Around Christmas one winter,I went to Vancouver with two cousins.I had never been out of the country before.That is why I found out for the first time that we should not take too many things with us when we come back.
在圣誕節(jié)前后的一個(gè)冬天，我和我的兩位表兄弟(表姐妹)去(加拿大的)溫哥華。之前，我從來(lái)沒(méi)有出過(guò)國(guó)。所以這是我第一次了解(發(fā)現(xiàn))到不應(yīng)該帶太多(的東西)回國(guó)。
During the vacation,we went to the world famous mall and shopped like crazy.We brought back loads of souvenirs with us.A lot of items were nicely packaged in pretty boxes and gift-wraps.At that time the thought of going through customs never entered my mind.

Before getting out of the airport,the customs inspector checked our bags and told us that we should have filled out a declaration form with a list of the things we bought,along with the value of each item.Now when I go to another country,that experience keeps me from buying too much stuff.
我出機(jī)場(chǎng)之前，海關(guān)檢查員檢查了我們的箱子，并(告訴我們)要我們填寫(xiě)一份申報(bào)表，把我們買(mǎi)的東西(的名稱)及每樣?xùn)|西的價(jià)格都填寫(xiě)上去。如今，當(dāng)我去別的國(guó)家時(shí)，那次的經(jīng)歷使我不敢(避免)再買(mǎi)太多的東西。
