第八章 動詞的非謂語形式 不定式作定語

　　1.不定式(短語)作定語的時候很多，特別是在某些句型中：

　　Do you have anything more to say?

　　你還有什么話要說嗎?

　　She wanted to get something to read.

　　她想找點書看。

　　He was the first person to think of the idea.

　　他是第一個產(chǎn)生這個想法的人。

　　There's nothing to be worried about.

　　沒有什么事值得發(fā)愁。

　　We need someone to help with the typing.

　　我們需要人幫助打字。

　　She's a nice person to work with.

　　她是一個好共事的人。

　　2.有些名詞后?？筛欢ㄊ阶鞫ㄕZ：

　　It's time to start spring sowing.

　　現(xiàn)在已是開始春播的時候了。

　　That's the best way to solve the problem.

　　這是解決這問題的最好辦法。

　　This will be a good opportunity to exchange experience.

　　這將是交流經(jīng)驗的好機會。

　　You have no right to talk like that.

　　你沒有權(quán)利這樣講話。

　　I'd like to have a chance to see more of him.

　　我愿意有機會多見見他。

　　3.有些動詞和形容詞后面常跟不定武，它們的同源名詞也常跟不定式作定語:

　　You haven't kept your promise to write us regularly.

　　你沒有遵守經(jīng)常給我們寄信的諾言。(比較：Yon promised to...)

　　She made no attempt to take a medical degree.

　　她沒有企圖拿醫(yī)學(xué)學(xué)位。

　　We could see her anxiety to settle the thing herself.

　　我們看得出她很想自己來解決這個問題。(比較：She was anxious to)

　　His eagerness to go with us was obvious.

　　他顯然想和我們一道去。

　　4.有些不定式(短語)可作定語，相當于一個定語從句：

　　Perhaps in years to come (=which are to come) we shall meet again

　　或許在未來的歲月中我們還會見面。

　　You are invited to a party (which is) to be held on Wednesday in our club.

　　邀請你參加星期三在俱樂部舉行的晚會。

　　還有帶關(guān)系代詞的不定式短語用作定語：

　　It was a bad season in which to have outings.

　　這是一個不適合郊游的季節(jié)。
