116. Water 水

Water is extremely important for all human beings. It is quite difficult to imagine what life would be like without water. So people say there would be no life if there were no water. Water is necessary to all living things on the earth.

水對于人類至關(guān)重要，很難想象，如果沒有水，生命如何延續(xù)。因此，人們說沒有水就沒有生命，水對于世界上一切有生命的東西都是最基本的。

As we know, 70% of the earth surface is covered by water, but more than 90% of water is not suitable for drinking. Also, the water distribution is not balanced, some areas have more, while others have less. With industry and agriculture growing, people need more water. What is worse, much water is being polluted and wasted in some areas. For these reasons, water shortage has become a serious problem.

眾所周知，盡管水覆蓋了70%的地球表面，但是其中的90%不適合飲用，另一方面，水的分布也不均衡，有的地區(qū)水資源豐富，有的地區(qū)貧乏。隨著工農(nóng)業(yè)的發(fā)展，人類需要更多的水。更糟糕的是，一些地區(qū)的水資源被浪費(fèi)、被污染。由于這些原因，水的短缺已經(jīng)成為一個嚴(yán)重的問題。

Measures should be taken. We must make good use of water, avoid pollution, use purified rain water or sea water, and try our best to save water and treasure water resources.

我們應(yīng)該采取各種措施，更好地利用水，防止污染，使用過濾過的雨水或海水，全力以赴保護(hù)水資源。
