115. The Great Wall 長城
The Great Wall, one of the Wonders of the World , is the longest wall in the world. It is actually over six thousand kilometers long, about seven meters high and four to five meters wide.
世界奇觀之一長城是世界上最長的墻，長6000公里，約7米高，4、5米寬。
The Great wall was first built in the Spring and Autumn Period over 2,500 years ago, and, the separated sections were later connected in the Qing Dynasty. The wall was all man-made since there was no machinery at all at that time. Hundreds and thousands people died when they built it. Up to now, the Great Wall has been rebuilt many times. It has become a place of tourist interest.
長城最早建于春秋時期，距今約2500年，秦朝時代，這些分散的城墻被連接起來，形成今天的長城。長城完全是人工建造，因為當時根本沒有任何機械，成千上萬的民工在建造過程中喪身。
The Great Wall greets many visitors from all over the world every day. The Chinese people are proud of the Great Wall.
迄今為止，長城已經被多次重修，并且成為著名旅游勝地。長城每天迎接許多來自世界各地的旅游者，長城是中國人民的驕傲。
