I was having dinner at a restaurant when HarrySteele came in. Harry worked in a lawyer'soffice years ago, but he is now working at abank. He gets a good salary, but he alwaysborrows money from his friends and never paysit back. Harry saw me and came and sat at the sametable. He has never borrowed money from me. Whilehe was eating, I asked him to lend me &2. Tomy surprise, he gave me the money immediately.'I have never borrowed any money from you,'Harry said,'so now you can pay for my dinner!'

本文語法：動詞+sb.(賓語)+to do(賓補)

語法歸納：賓補用來補充說明賓語的動作或狀態(tài)。常見的這類動詞有：ask要求;tell告訴;order命令;expect期待;teach教;train訓練;prefer寧愿;wish希望;want想要;allow允許;advise建議

精講筆記：

1.I was having dinner at a restaurant when Harry Steele came in.

我正在一家飯館里吃飯，這是托尼.斯蒂爾走了進來。

語言點1 吃飯，用餐：have dinner=take dinner:不可用eat dinner.

語言點2 當一般過去時和過去進行時配合使用時，延續(xù)性動作用過去進行時，瞬間性動作用一般過去時：

While my brother was riding a horse, he broke his leg.我弟弟騎馬的時候不小心折了腿。

ride a horse騎馬(延續(xù)性動作相對時間長);break his leg折腿(瞬間性動作)

2.Harry worked in a lawyer's office years ago, but he is now working at a bank.

幾年前，托尼在一家律師事務所工作，現(xiàn)在他在一家銀行就職。

語言點1 work的用法：

1)work in somewhere強調工作的地點

2)work for sb.強調為誰而工作

3)work at強調工作的具體單位或從事何種工作

4)work on致力于，做……

語言點2 1)years ago=many years ago許多年前

2)ages ago=long long ago很久很久以前

3)centuries ago數(shù)個世紀以前

3.He gets a good salary, but he always borrows money from his friends and never paysit back.

他拿著高薪，但總是向他的朋友借錢，并且從來都不還。

語言點1 a good salary=a high salary高薪;而premium/prize是指獎金。

語言點2 1)pay sth. back=repay sth.歸還某物

2)pay sb.back=revenge sb.報復某人

3)pay for sth.為某物而付錢
