講解：
down是副詞，意為“倒下”，argue sb down意思是“通過辯論讓某人倒下”，即“駁倒某人”。
支持范例：
He had no difficulty in ague his teacher down.
他毫無困難地駁倒了老師。
She certainly agued me down in that argument.
她在辯論中確實(shí)把我駁倒了。
She agued him down by quoting his earlier statement.

There are some people who will use any kind of argument, no matter how illogical, so long as they can ague an opponent down.

Eg .Be the matter what it may, always speak the truth.
