大家好!廣播學口語又和您見面了.不知道你過得怎么樣.Andy可是有了一點小麻煩. 那 就讓Andy和大家說說吧.

自從Andy被剝奪了財政大權后,行動受到了極大的限制,可不久Andy就學乖了.偷偷的留 了一個小金庫.終于,今天又和朋友們坐到一起吃了一頓,但是一身酒氣的回家,自然會讓 老婆發(fā)現(xiàn).

Andy came close to tell her the whole truth, but then he changed his mind: “my friend treated me.” “Really? I read you as a book: you will give the shirt off your back.” (Andy差一點就把情況向妻子和盤托出了,可是很快他打消了這個念頭：“朋友請了我一頓.”“真的嗎?我對你太了解了,你連襯衫都可 以脫給別人”). "give the shirt off your back"連襯衫都可以脫給別人,可見這人有多少的慷慨. 這里的意思就是"慷慨成性".

Andy always gives shirt to others off his back. No wonder his wife doesn’t believe that he can let his friend pay the bill.( Andy是一個慷慨的家伙.怪不得老婆不相信是朋友為他付的錢.)

就Andy的小金庫的問題,妻子好好的給他上了一課,直到最后Andy求饒:"I know I made a mistake but can you cushion the below? "cushion"是什么意思呢.本意是墊子. 那么在下面墊個墊子，即是說,"說話溫柔一些.以免打擊太重了".

Andy said:"I know I made a mistake but can you cushion the below? "(我知道 我錯了,但你說話的時候委婉一點行嗎).這就可見說話委婉好處了吧.

一個優(yōu)秀的老師從不會劈頭蓋臉的把他的學生批評一通的.而是委婉的教導他的學生.怪不得多年以后他的學生們說："Although I　made a lot of mistakes,my teacner cushioned the below instead of criticizing me seriously in the class,so I confessed the mistakes I made and became a good student .I love my teacher. ( 雖然我做了很錯事兒,但老師并沒有當著全班同學的面批評我.只是委婉的給我指了出 來.于是我承認了我的錯誤并成為一個好學生.我愛我的老師.)
