男：今天我們談論非常好玩的話題，還是跟吃有關：potluck

女：“We’re having a potluck dinner.” it means everyone has to bring a dish. This is really common between college students， because they don’t have any money.

男：potluck就是每個人帶一個菜去，即簡單又實惠。

女：If you say， “Would you like to come to dinner? It’s only potluck， but you’re welcome.”

男：家里沒什么好吃的，不太好意思邀請朋友來做客吧?

女： That means， you can come over， but I’m sorry， I don’t have any good food to give you， so this is for good friends only.

男：和好朋友就可以友好地提出這種potluck dinner的邀請，像我這樣愛呼朋喚友的單身漢可一定得學會這個詞哦。

女：We’re having a potluck dinner
