長江中游發(fā)生沉船事故 搜救工作緊張進(jìn)行

　　據(jù)新華網(wǎng)報(bào)道，6月1日約21時(shí)28分，一艘從南京駛往重慶的客船在長江中游湖北監(jiān)利水域沉沒。出事船舶“東方之星”載客458人，其中內(nèi)賓406人、旅行社工作人員5人、船員47人，其中乘客多為上海老年旅游團(tuán)成員。截至6月2日晨，已搜救10人?！逗比請?bào)》官方微博報(bào)道，此豪華游輪行至監(jiān)利縣大馬洲水道44號(hào)過河標(biāo)水域處，突遇龍卷風(fēng)翻沉。目前，緊急救援工作仍在進(jìn)行。

　
　A passenger ship carrying 458 people sank Monday night in the Hubei section of China's Yangtze River. The ship, named Dongfangzhixing (Eastern Star), sank at around 9:28 p.m. in the Jianli (Hubei Province) section of the Yangtze River, according to the Yangtze River navigation administration. There were 406 Chinese passengers, five travel agency workers and 47 crew members aboard, according to the administration.

　　The ship, which departed from the eastern Chinese city Nanjing and is bound for Chongqing Municipality in southwest China, sank "within one or two minutes" after being caught in a cyclone, according to the ship's captain and chief engineer. Ten people have been rescued as of Tuesday morning as rescuers are battling strong winds and downpour to hunt for the others. Maritime authorities said most of the passengers are elderly people who signed up on a travel tour in Shanghai.
