It is reported that Karl Lagerfeld, the artisticdirector for Chanel, died aged 85 in Paris, leavingthe fashion world reeling at the loss of the man.

As the fashion world mourns Lagerfeld, his belovedcat Choupette is one of a number who could be setto inherit his ￡150million fortune.

正當整個時尚界都在為拉格菲爾德哀悼，而除了他的眾多繼承人，他的愛貓邱佩特可能也會繼承他的1.5億英鎊財產的一部份。

One of the designer's most important companions in later life was his Birman cat Choupette, who he has called his one true love and said he would marry if it were legal.

Last year he told an interviewer that 'among others' he would be giving his riches to Choupette.

But Choupette isn't only a kept kitty, for she made more than ￡2.3million in one year aloneafter appearing in just two ad campaigns — one for Japenese beauty product Shu Uemura, andfor German car company Vauxhall.

Speaking of his desire to make their relationship to be 'official', Lagerfeld once said: 'There is nomarriage, yet, for human beings and animals… I never thought that I would fall in love like thiswith a cat.
