A: So Maria, do your parents use any of the social media sites.
 
瑪麗亞，你父母用社交網(wǎng)站嗎？
 
B: They do. Both my parents are on Facebook. My mum is not that active on Facebook. She has a profile and she has pictures and I think she's online whenever she wants to get in touch with her kids mostly, which is me and my sister. But my father he uses it regularly and I sometimes get weird like comments from him. It's not that bad, but, for example, when I'm traveling and he can't call me, he just writes like that looks awesome to weird pictures and it kind of gets awkward sometimes. But they do have, they are very active on the internet and my dad he's a journalist, so he's good with words, so whenever we have to write each other, I always get these long mails like that's very cleverly worded and humorous and it's so cool. He's so cool. My mum is more behind.
 
用。我父母都有臉譜網(wǎng)賬號(hào)。我媽媽不太常用臉譜網(wǎng)。她有填個(gè)人資料也上傳了照片，我認(rèn)為她是在自己想上網(wǎng)的時(shí)候就上下臉譜網(wǎng)，主要是和我和我姐姐聯(lián)系一下。不過(guò)我爸爸經(jīng)常用臉譜網(wǎng)，有時(shí)我收到他的評(píng)論會(huì)感覺(jué)很奇怪。不過(guò)也不是那么糟了，比如，我旅行的時(shí)候他不能給我打電話(huà)，他就會(huì)在一些奇怪的照片下面評(píng)論“看上去棒極了”，有時(shí)這會(huì)有些尷尬。我父母經(jīng)常上網(wǎng)，我爸爸是記者，他很擅長(zhǎng)寫(xiě)作，我們給對(duì)方寫(xiě)信時(shí)，我會(huì)收到非常長(zhǎng)的郵件，這些郵件用詞巧妙又幽默，非常棒。我爸爸非?？帷Ｎ覌寢寗t不擅長(zhǎng)寫(xiě)東西。
 
A: What about Skype?
 
那Skype呢？
 
B: Skype yes but mostly only to get in touch with me and my sister.
 
通常他們只用Skype和我還有我姐姐聯(lián)系。
 
A: OK, cool. What about like do they ever have MySpace?
 
真酷。那他們有MySpace賬號(hào)嗎？
 
B: No, none of us have.
 
我們都沒(méi)有。
 
A: No, it's a word I haven't heard in a while too, MySpace?
 
我也有段時(shí)間沒(méi)聽(tīng)到這個(gè)軟件了，是MySpace吧？
 
B: Yeah.

A: What about Twitter?
 
那推特呢？
 
B: I'm not active. My father keeps talking about it. I don't know if he wants to start a Twitter account because he keeps mentioning that it's kind of a good idea but he's not there. I'm not because I think I have Facebook that should be enough for me at least. I don't know if, they are not into social media so they will just like open it for fun. Google Plus is definitely not a solution at the moment because there is Facebook and that's like a big deal in the first place.
 
我不用。我爸爸一直提到推特。我不知道他是不是想注冊(cè)個(gè)推特的賬號(hào)，因?yàn)樗恢痹谡f(shuō)推特很不錯(cuò)，不過(guò)他沒(méi)有賬號(hào)。我也沒(méi)有推特賬號(hào)，因?yàn)槲矣X(jué)得我有臉譜網(wǎng)賬號(hào)就夠用了。他們并不喜歡社交媒體，我不知道他們是不是因?yàn)橹皇怯X(jué)得好玩才開(kāi)通賬號(hào)?，F(xiàn)在來(lái)看，Google+不好用，因?yàn)橛心樧V網(wǎng)的存在，臉譜網(wǎng)看起來(lái)是最好的。
 
A: Have you ever wanted to de-friend your parents on Facebook?
 
你有想過(guò)在臉譜網(wǎng)上刪除你父母嗎？
 
B: Nope. I am very open about my Facebook profile. I never wanted to close it to anybody so I try not to, I'm trying to make sure that there won't be anything embarrassing on it so I manage it so there won't be any need for like de-friending them and they're not that annoying. They text me sometimes and they comment my things if it's something important but they're being nice. They're good parents.
 
沒(méi)有。我臉譜網(wǎng)上的資料是完全公開(kāi)的。我從來(lái)沒(méi)想過(guò)對(duì)任何人關(guān)閉，我盡量確保上面不會(huì)出現(xiàn)令人尷尬的信息，因?yàn)槲以谂芾恚詻](méi)有必要取關(guān)我父母，他們也沒(méi)有那么煩人。他們只是有時(shí)給我發(fā)信息，或是對(duì)一些重要內(nèi)容進(jìn)行評(píng)論，不過(guò)他們很好。他們是很好的父母。
