［譯］需要是發(fā)明的動力。

［注解］這是做事不擇手段的辯解語。necessity指迫不得已的需要。
［譯］需要面前無法律。
Need makes the old wife trot.
［譯］事急老嫗跑。

［譯］東西沒看清，不要急著買。

［注解］cackle雞下蛋后的咯咯叫聲。

［注解］古時的橋不像現代的橋這么結實，過河有危險，故產生此諺語。喻指Don't worry about future problems before you need to，不要杞人憂天，船到橋頭自然直。美國詩人朗費羅曾說過這是一句古老而又極具智慧的諺語。
