A woman caught a cold and had to stay in bed .She told her husband to go to town to buy some medicine2 for her, but the man did not know how to call the chemist3.Before he went into the chemist's shop, he stopped a boy and asked him, "Excuse me, do you know the name of the chemist?" "Mr. Quack," the boy answered with a smile.
Then the man went into the shop and said, "Give me some medicine, Mr. Quack." The chemist became angry and slapped4 him in the face .The man didn't think the chemist had heard him, he repeated in a loud voice. "I want some medicine for a cold, Mr. Quack!" And he was heavily slapped in the face again. "Do you have anything else to give?" "Nothing." The chemist answered angrily.
Then the man covered his face and left. When he got home, he said to his wife. "I've brought the medicine for your fever. Get up." As soon as the woman sat up, he gave her a slap in the face. The slap was so heavy that she fell down bed. It frightened her. She sweated5 and soon got well. The man was very happy and went to town again.
When he came into the chemist's shop, he said to the chemist, "Half of your medicine has cured my wife and there's the other half left. I've brought it here and I must return it to you. Mr. Quack." With these words, he gave the chemist a heavier slap and left happily.

于是這個男子進到藥店里,見到藥劑師就說:“我要抓些藥,庸醫(yī)先生。”藥劑師很生氣,結結實實給了他一個耳光。這個男子以為藥劑師沒有聽清,又大聲重復道:“我想抓副退燒藥,庸醫(yī)先生?!彼职ち撕莺菀粋€耳光?!澳氵€有什么要給我的嗎?”男子問道?!皼]有!”藥劑師氣沖沖地說。男子捂著臉離開了。
回到家,他對妻子說:“我把退燒藥抓回來了,你起來一下吧!”妻子剛起來,他就使足了勁給了她一巴掌,打得她跌到床下去了。妻子經(jīng)這么一打一嚇,出了一身大汗,真的退燒了。
男子非常高興,又進城去找那個藥劑師。他一進藥店就對藥劑師說:“上次抓的藥只用一半就治好了我太太的病,還剩下一半,我?guī)Щ貋砹耍冶仨氝€給你,庸醫(yī)先生?!闭f完,他給了藥劑師狠狠的一巴掌,然后快樂地離開了。
