The Expo site attracted 417,600 visitors as of 7:30pm yesterday, bringing the total number of visitors to 34.0648 million since the Expo's opening on May 1.
It was the 25th consecutive day that daily attendance averaged more than 400,000.
Among yesterday's patrons, 114,100 were on group tours, and 58,000 visitors used free tickets Shanghai government distributed to local residents. A total of 67,503 tickets were sold on site, with 23,397 evening admissions.
As of 6pm, the gate at Houtan had received 77,000 visitors, compared to 67,000 at Shangnan Road, 66,000 via Changqing Road and 48,000 going through the gate of Gaoke Road W.
A total of 76 shows were staged by 5pm within the site, attracting 37,700 spectators, and 6,243 volunteers served on the site.
Some 120,000 group visitors are expected to tour the Expo site today. Three ticketing booths with 45 self-service ticketing machines have been set up on Shangnan Road, Madang Road and Xizang Road S. for the convenience of visitors.
