在談判的過程中要將商品質(zhì)量的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)盡量具體化、細(xì)節(jié)化，通常質(zhì)量是以下列方法的其中一種或幾種來表示的：

1．市場(chǎng)上商品的等級(jí)；

2．品牌；

3．商業(yè)上常用的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)；

4．物理或化學(xué)的規(guī)格；

5．性能的規(guī)格；

6．樣品。

談判時(shí)雙方必須對(duì)商品的質(zhì)量達(dá)成互相同意的質(zhì)量標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，以避免日后的糾紛或法律訴訟。對(duì)于瑕疵品或倉儲(chǔ)運(yùn)輸過程中損壞的商品，在談判時(shí)也應(yīng)說清由誰來負(fù)責(zé)。

A：How can I be sure your products are of superior quality, as you promised?

B：One of the reasons for our good quality products is because of our quality inspection system, which is the best of its kind.

A：But a quality inspection system does not mean that each unit will always be up to standard.

B：We have trained analysts to do a quality analysis at the end of each process when we make the product. Quality affects the selling. We do not want to skate on thin ice.

A：Your salesman also told me that each worker is trained to do quality analysis. Can you tell me a little about that?

B：That's right. We provide quality analysis training as part of the training for all new workers, plus a week of further training every year.

skate on thin ice的意思是“在薄薄的一層冰上滑行”，這自然是非常危險(xiǎn)了，所以慢慢地就被人用來表示“鋌而走險(xiǎn)；如履薄冰”的意思了，漢語里也有類似的說法。如果強(qiáng)調(diào)非常危險(xiǎn)，也可以在thin前面加上very加以強(qiáng)調(diào)。

A：Could you tell me why?

B：We spend a lot of money to make sure that our quality is much better. All the raw material is selected carefully to be used as the yarn after a special process.

A：I am very glad to hear this, but I have no relish for its design.

B：Could you please tell me in detail?

A：The patterns with flowers are not popular with Americans.

B：Here are our latest designs. You can choose what you like.

A：These designs are lovely. We want to know if these ones have such high quality as those ones have.

B：Of course.

A：你能否關(guān)于你們的新產(chǎn)品再多談一些？

B：當(dāng)然。你來摸摸看這些樣品吧，它們不僅圖案漂亮、色澤鮮艷，而且比其他產(chǎn)品更耐用。
