“crush”的意思是“迷戀的對象，迷戀”。若要表達“迷戀上某人”，則通常用句型“have a crush on sb.”。

Sarah: Ah, I get it. You want to give these flowers to a girl you like? Jesus, that's a bit old-fashioned, don't you think? Girls today are more likely to sneer at you than appreciate the gesture. Sure you can come up with a better idea than flowers．

薩拉：哦，我明白了，你是想送花給你喜歡的女孩子吧？老天，這也有點太老土了，你不覺得嗎？現(xiàn)在的女孩子可能會嘲笑你而不會欣賞你的這種示愛方法。你肯定能想出一種比送花更好的方法來的。

Tom: Not really. What do you think I should do?

Sarah: You're really a bit of a green hand in affairs of the heart. You need to get to know something about her likes and dislikes.

薩拉：看來在談戀愛方面你還真是個新手啊。你得知道她喜歡什么不喜歡什么。

Tom: I am already an acquaintance. I just don't know how to ask her out. I don't have the courage.

湯姆：我們已經(jīng)認識了，我只是不知道怎樣約她出來。我沒這個勇氣。

Sarah: If you don't have the courage to ask her out then I can't help you. If you can't even get a date, how are you supposed to get a girlfriend?

薩拉：如果你不敢約她出來，那我也幫不了你。如果你都沒法把她約出來，又怎么能期望她做你女朋友呢？

1.“Girls today are more likely to sneer at you...”中, “be動詞 +likely+to”表示“可能”；“sneer at”表示“嘲笑”。

2.詞組“come UD with”意為“想起．想出”、例如：He couldn’t come up with a proper answer.（他想不出一個合適的回答。）He came up with a good idea for the product promotion.（他想出了一個推銷產品的好主意。）

3.短語“likes and dislikes”意為“好惡，喜歡的事情和不喜歡的事情”。

4.短語“be supposed to”在本對話中意為“被期望”，此外它還有“應該”的意思。例如：You're not supposed to smoke in here.（你不應該在這里抽煙。）

戀愛三部曲

校園愛情(campus love)應當是一個很熱門很時髦的話題。對于校園愛情，有人贊同，說它是人生中一份很純潔的感情；也有人反對，說它會影響學習，不利于成長。其實對于校園愛情，不管是利還是弊，關鍵在于當事人如何把握。我們當然希望這份美好的感情能開花結果，希望所有的戀人都能順利走過下面的愛情三部曲，也希望戀人在學習中能夠互勉共進。

一、熱戀期人們都說，愛情是盲目的( Love is blind.)，在熱戀中人的眼里，對方一切都好，沒半點瑕疵，正所謂“情人眼里出西施”

( Beauty lies in lover's eyes. )。

I love you at the first sight!我對你一見鐘情！

I'm falling in love with you!我愛上你了！

You light up my life.你照亮了我的人生。

二、不穩(wěn)定期，美好的熱戀之后，總會有一段磨合期。這一時期的戀人可能因為相處比較久，熱戀中的激情減退了，漸漸地發(fā)現(xiàn)對方也不是那么盡菩盡美，爭吵也會隨之出現(xiàn)。

I feel insecure.我沒有安全感。

Are you seeing anyone else?你在跟別人交往吧？

I really wanna have a huge fight with you.

我真想和你大吵一架。

I want to break up with you.我想和你分手。

三、穩(wěn)定期、或許爭吵過后，還是發(fā)現(xiàn)現(xiàn)在的戀人是值得一生擁有的，值得一生與之相伴的。
