1. dare作情態(tài)動(dòng)詞：

1）dare后接動(dòng)詞原形。

How dare you say I am unfair?

你怎么敢說(shuō)我不公平？

Dare you jump down from here?

你敢從這里跳下去嗎？

2）dare沒(méi)有人稱和數(shù)的區(qū)別。

If you dare speak to me like that again, you will be sorry.

若你敢再那樣對(duì)我說(shuō)話，你會(huì)后悔的。

3）多用于疑問(wèn)句和否定句。

I dare not say you are right if you deal the problems in this way.

我不敢說(shuō)你這樣處理問(wèn)題是對(duì)的。

Dare you jump into the lake from here?

你敢從這里跳湖里嗎？

4）只用于一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)和一般過(guò)去時(shí)。

No one dare speak of that.

沒(méi)有人敢提那件事情。

5）dare也有過(guò)去式dared，否定式為dared not。

He dared not go near Tom's neighborhood in the day time.

大白天他不敢走近湯姆家附近。

2. dare作實(shí)意動(dòng)詞：

1）dare是及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)，可用于各種句子如肯定句、否定句和疑問(wèn)句等，而且有人稱、時(shí)態(tài)和數(shù)的變化。

The girl dares to go out alone at night.

那姑娘敢夜間獨(dú)自外出。

2）dare后接帶to的不定式。

He dares to behave like that in my house.

他在我家敢那樣表現(xiàn)。

3）用于否定句時(shí)，后接的不定式經(jīng)常省去to。

I did not dare (to) move at all.

我一點(diǎn)也不敢動(dòng)。

Nobody would dare (to) ask him such a question, even his parents.

沒(méi)有人敢問(wèn)他這樣的問(wèn)題，甚至他的父母。

I have never dared (to) disturb him.

我從來(lái)不敢打擾他。

4）常用于疑問(wèn)句，或作非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。

Do you dare to give the teacher a suggestion that he should come to the point in his speech?

你敢向這個(gè)老師提議，讓他講話切中主題嗎？

Being youngsters, we sat modestly at the back, never daring to make any noise.

由于年輕，我們謙虛地坐在后面，從來(lái)不敢發(fā)出一點(diǎn)響聲。
