她跑到洗手間匆匆畫(huà)了個(gè)淡妝,看著鏡子中的自己才突然想起這樣的場(chǎng)合應(yīng)該是穿著非常正式的,而自己今天的衣服卻很隨意,她趕忙跑去問(wèn)Frank這次的dress code(著裝要求)是什么,F(xiàn)rank看了看她的裝扮,聳聳肩說(shuō):“It is too late to go back home and change. Anyway, it is my fault. I did not let you know about this earlier.”
在路上,F(xiàn)rank看出了Nancy的興奮和緊張,他忽然想起什么,從手提包里拿出一個(gè)hamburger(漢堡)塞給Nancy,叫她先墊墊肚子,還安慰她說(shuō):“Take it easy, our Party Queen. Just keep these in mind, you’ll be doing fine.”
Networking Events Preparation
Know who is hosting the event and who will be there.
Eat some food before you go, and it will give you more time to network at the event.
Ask the hostess about the dress code.
Always bring your business cards with you.
Behave professionally.
So, Jennifer, what do you do in your business?
Oh, we’re a full-service marketing firm, delivering great results for clients across a wide range of industries. Got it. I’m afraid I forgot to get a glass of wine. Nancy, you too, right?
她沖Frank扮個(gè)鬼臉,“Now, it is my turn.”
Hello Louis, what does your business do?
Oh, we’re a really wonderful small marketing firm. I’d love to tell you more about us. But, let’s start with you. What do you do?
Well, I do marketing.
Terrific! What sorts of assignments do you specialize in?
Party過(guò)后,F(xiàn)rank順路送Nancy回家,他拍了拍Nancy的肩膀說(shuō):“You are the Party Queen. I can be witness.”
