A girl just broke up with her boyfriend.

He yelled, "You'll never find anyone like me again!"

The girl answered, "I should hope not."

一個(gè)女孩剛和她的男朋支分手。

"up"在這里當(dāng)副詞，用以強(qiáng)調(diào)事情的結(jié)束。有“全然;完全”的意思，所以一段關(guān)系完全破裂(尤指男女關(guān)系)，集會(huì)的結(jié)束，或東西的拆解等，都可以用break up,

break v.破裂;損壞

break up 分手

2. He yelled, "You'll never find anyone like me again!"

他大吼：“你再也找不到像我這樣的人了!”

3. The girl answered, "I should hope not."

這女孩回答：“我希望不要。”

"should"在這里不是表示應(yīng)該，I should是以委婉的方式 去表達(dá)自己的想法或感受.這種用法的主語一定是我(I)，
