There were two very stupid robbers. They were robbing an office building. They heard police sirens and got nervous.
The first one said, "Let's jump down to the street." The second one said,"But we're on the thirteenth floor!" The first one screamed back, "This is no time to be superstitious."

從前有兩個很笨的強(qiáng)盜。
thief是指偷偷作案的小偷,而robber是指以暴力搶奪的強(qiáng)盜。
2. They were robbing an office building.
他們正在搶劫一間辦公大樓,
3. They heard police sirens and got nervous.
們聽到警笛聲后變得很緊張。
get后面加形容詞表示“變得…” 如:get quiet(變得安靜)。
4. The first one said, "Let's jump down to the street."

英美樓層的表達(dá)方式不同,美國:the first floor(一樓), the second floor( 二僂)、the third floor( 7樓),依此類推,:英 國:the ground floorf (一樓),the first floor( 二樓)、the second floor(三樓),依此類推。地下層的表達(dá)方式則相同:地下~樓(the first basement level)。其他依此類推。用于表樓層名稱 時,floor用來表示地上的樓層,而level用來表示地下的樓層。
