② argue只作動(dòng)詞,不能作名詞用,為最普通用詞,后可跟 that 從句,表示“說服,論證”或“企圖說服”,指從心平氣和的說理到言辭激烈的爭(zhēng)論。

③ dispute可作動(dòng)詞或名詞,動(dòng)詞后不跟 that 從句,著重雙方各執(zhí)一詞,相持不下,針鋒相對(duì)地激烈辯論。
