① deal with sth./sb.表示“對(duì)待,交往,處理”。
Such people are difficult to deal with. 這種人很不好對(duì)付。
That question has been dealt with. 那個(gè)問(wèn)題已得到處理。
I will not deal with that shopkeeper again. 我將不會(huì)再與那個(gè)店主打交道。
② do with可以表示多種含義。
(1)表示“對(duì)待,處理”,意同deal with,但搭配不同。比較:
What will you do with the letter?你將把那封信怎樣處理?(do with同what搭配)
How will you deal with the letter?(deal with同how搭配)
(2)表示“容忍,滿足于”。
I can't do with loud music. 我受不了喧鬧的音樂(lè)。
I could do with a good night's rest. 我只要能好好休息一個(gè)晚上就行了。
(3)表示“和……有關(guān)”,用于have something/anything to do with,have nothing to do with結(jié)構(gòu)中。
It has nothing to do with me. 這和我無(wú)關(guān)。
Her job has to do with telephone. 她的工作與電話有關(guān)。
③ deal in表示“從事……的買(mǎi)賣(mài)”。
