看到“A long face”，你的第一反應(yīng)是什么呢？難不成是“長(zhǎng)臉”的意思嗎？ 其實(shí)“A long face”指的是“板著臉”、拉長(zhǎng)著臉”、“不高興”。

A long face = an unhappy or gloomy; feeling disappointed or depression

long face可不是“中式英語(yǔ)”，因?yàn)槿祟惒桓吲d時(shí)，恐怕都會(huì)拉長(zhǎng)臉，所以，long face 并不是Chinglish喲！

杰克，你為什么拉長(zhǎng)著臉呢 ?

Sara had such a long face yesterday after she learned that she failed her exam.

2014年被加入到牛津詞典中

據(jù)牛津詞典的解釋：Someone's face when their lips are pushed outwards, especially in photographs.

Duck face（鴨嘴臉），

指的是 “噘嘴自拍的夸張表情”。嘟著嘴自拍

Emma is obsessed with taking duck face selfies. I've really had enough!
