　　這個身體結(jié)實的野人,丟下他的標槍,把他一把挾了起來,用一種簡直是不可思議的靈巧和手勁,把他的身體一拋就拋得老高;然后在他翻斗的時候,朝他那尾梢輕輕一拍,那家伙就肺都要炸裂似地雙腳落地了,魁魁格卻轉(zhuǎn)過身來,理都不理他,點燃起他那煙斗斧,遞給我吸一口。

　　Capting! Capting! yelled the bumpkin, running toward that officer; Capting, Capting, here's thedevil.

　　船長!船長!那鄉(xiāng)巴佬高聲叫嚷著,奔向船長那邊去;船長,船長,你看那惡魔。

　　Hallo, you sir, cried the Captain, a gaunt rib of the sea, stalking up to Queequeg, what inthunder do you mean by that? Don't you know you might have killed that chap?What him say?said Queequeg, as he mildly turned to me.

　　喂,你這老兄,瘦得象塊船板的船長,昂首闊步地走到魁魁格跟前,叫了起來,你究竟為什么要這樣做?你不知道你會把那家伙弄死嗎?

　　He say, said I, that you came near kill-e that man there, pointing to the still shiveringgreenhorn.

　　他說什么?魁魁格溫和地轉(zhuǎn)過身來,對我說。他說,我說道,你簡直要把那邊那個人給弄死了,我指著那個還在哆嗦的毛頭小子。

　　Kill-e, cried Queequeg, twisting his tattooed face into an unearthly expression of disdain, ah!him bevy small-e fish-e; Queequeg no kill-e so small-e fish-e; Queequeg kill-e big whale!

　　弄...死,魁魁格嚷了起來,他那張刺花的臉扭成一副可怕而蔑視的神情,哈,他是一條很小的小魚魚,魁魁格不殺...這樣的小魚魚;魁魁格要殺...大鯨!

　　Look you, roared the Captain, I'll kill-e you, you cannibal, if you try any more of your tricksaboard here; so mind your eye.

　　喂!船長咆哮道,如果你敢再在這船上?；?我就要弄死你,你這生番;你要留神些。

　　But it so happened just then, that it was high time for the Captain to mind his own eye. Theprodigious strain upon the main-sail had parted the weather-sheet, and the tremendousboom was now flying from side to side, completely sweeping the entire after part of the deck.

　　但是,就在這時,碰巧是輪到這個船長該自己留神的時候了。由于風力過猛,主帆脫離了風帆,這時候,那只可怕的帆杠正在急速地左右飛擺,整個后甲板都在它的掃射范圍內(nèi)。
