時差N小時:市場購物 Market Shopping

Mike: Wow! There's so much fresh produce here.Half of it looks like it was growing in the fields this morning.

哇!這里有好多新鮮商品。有一半的商品看起來好像今早上才挖出來。

Amanda: Look at those carrots. They still have mud caked all over them. I wish I could growstuff, but I've never had much of a green thumb.

看看這些胡蘿卜，都還有泥塊在上面呢，我希望我也能種一些，但是我沒有一點園藝的才能。

Mike: Taiwan's subtropical climate is perfect for cultivating all kinds of fruit and vegetables. Youcan get things that grow in Europe, like apples and pears, and also more exotic fruits, such aspineapples, bananas and durian. A smorgasbord of delights!

臺灣亞熱帶的氣候特別適合種植各類水果和蔬菜。你可以種些生長在歐洲的作物，像蘋果，梨，和一些非本地水果，像是菠蘿、香蕉及榴蓮。就像一頓豐富的自助餐。

Amanda: Have you set your sights on anything, or shall we just wander around and bespontaneous?

Mike: To be honest, I'm tempted by everything I see. I've never seen so many people hawkingtheir wares. It's not only food that's on offer, there's clothing, flowers, toys, incense, even old-man style vests and pajamas.

老實說，我看到的東西我都想買。我從沒有見過這么多人在沿街叫賣。而且還不僅僅是在賣水果，還有衣服，鮮花，玩具，甚至還有老舊款式的背心和睡衣。

Amanda: Look at that guy selling batteries. He's got every single size. Looks like he's corneredthe market on that product.

Mike: Maybe if you buy two packets he'll give you one for free. You should practice yourbargaining skills if we're going to India next year.

Amanda: I'm too exhausted. Let's just grab some snacks and call it a day.
