Yes, a malocclusion should be treated early in life for many reasons.

是的，錯頜畸形應(yīng)在年輕時及早治療是有許多原因：

1) A malocclusion in an adult is much more difficult to treat. It's usually more expensive too.

一、到了年紀(jì)大了，錯頜畸形就不好治了，而且也更加花錢。

2) Malocclusion may result in chewing difficulties and excessive strains on the teeth, jaws, andfacial muscles.

二、錯頜畸形可能造成咬東西困難，以及牙齒、頜和面部肌肉過度緊張。

3) Crooked teeth are more difficult to keep clean. This usually results in a greater incidence oftooth decay and gum diseases.

三、阻生齒很難保持清潔，這往往造成蛀牙和牙齦病的發(fā)病率增加。

4) Severe malocclusion can cause oral and facial deformities that can result in seriousemotional problems too.

四、最重的錯頜畸形能造成口腔和臉部變形，從而引起最重的感情上的問題。
