Frank: So, how was your vacation?
弗蘭克:假期過(guò)得怎么樣
Brandy: Oh! This was the best vacation I’ve ever had in my life!
弗蘭克:這是我這一輩子度過(guò)的最好的假期!
Frank: Wow! Where did you go?
弗蘭克:哇,你去哪了
Brandy: We went to the Bahamas. It’s such an amazing place.

Frank: Really? Did you go with your parents?

Brandy: Of course not! I went with my cousins. We had a blast!

Frank: I can imagine that. Did you take any pictures?

Brandy: Yes. I’ll be uploading them to Facebook today. You can check them out.

Did You Complete Your Pending Assignments?
你的工作完成了嗎
Duke: Why is all this work still pending?
德克:工作還沒(méi)做完?
Frank: What do you mean?

Duke: You promised to complete all the assignments during the holidays! What did you do in the holidays then, if not this?
德克:你答應(yīng)在假期期間完成所有指標(biāo)的,你在假期中作了嗎,還是沒(méi)做?
Frank: Well, I didn’t have enough time to work on the assignments. My brother had an accident and I had to be with him at the hospital.

Duke: Alright, but, you’d better complete them by the weekend. If you miss the deadline you won’t get good grades.

Duke: We took a boat trip to Koh Samui.

Jerry: Koh Samui is a really peaceful place. It must’ve been quite relaxing.

Duke: Oh, yeah! After all the hectic schedules and tough life, it’s good to have a peaceful vacation. All I got was blue sea and clear sky!

Jerry: I need a break myself. Going to apply for a 7-day leave today. Let’s see if the boss approves it.

My Holidays Were Awful.

Brandy : Hey Jerry! Glad to see you’re back. How were the hols?

Jerry : Don’t ask, Brandy! I’ve had better holidays.

Jerry : It was a series of disasters. Seriously.

Brandy : Really, Jerry?

Jerry : Yep. My flight got delayed 7 hours. Then the taxi to the hotel broke down.

Brandy : Goodness!
Jerry : The hotel was terrible. The food was awful.
杰里:賓館條件相當(dāng)差。食物難吃死了
Brandy : I’m sorry to hear that, Jerry. It all sounds so bad!
布蘭迪:確實(shí)挺糟糕,聽(tīng)起來(lái)很糟糕
Jerry : But that’s not all, Brandy. I got sick from the bad food and couldn’t go out of the hotel room for 3 days.
杰里:那還不算,布蘭迪。吃了壞的食物,我離開(kāi)賓館后就一直病了3天
Brandy : Gosh, Jerry! You’ve had the most awful vacation ever!

Jerry : I know, Brandy. It was hell.
