第二十章狀語 狀語從句(5)

　　1 .表示比較的狀語從句：這類從句都由than 或as 引起：

　　She likes Danny better than she likes me .

　　她喜歡丹妮勝過喜歡我。

　　He can run faster than I do .

　　他跑得比我快。

　　It is not so difficult as you think .

　　它沒有你想的那么困難。

　　She is not so energetic ass she used to be .

　　她不像過去那樣充滿活力了。

　　有時許多詞省略，只剩下一個詞：

　　She is four years younger than me .

　　她比我小四歲。

　　It made him queerer than ever .

　　這使他變得比過去更古怪。

　　She was as much interested in music as ever.

　　她還是和過去一樣對音樂有興趣。

　　She is as clever as ( she is )beautiful.

　　她聰明又美麗。

　　2 .方式狀語從句：這類從句多由as , as if , as though , like 等引起：

　　He was allowed to do as he liked.

　　他們允許他愛怎么干就怎么干。

　　It swims on the sea floor just as its ancestors did.

　　在海底游動，就像的祖輩那樣。

　　I like the freedom to plan my day exactly as I want.

　　我喜歡有自由完全按照我自己的意愿安排一天的活動。

　　She treats him as if he was her own son .

　　她把他像親兒子一般對待。

　　He looked like he had seen a ghost .

　　他看起來就像見到鬼了似的。

　　You talk just like your father does .

　　你講起話來就像你爸爸。

　　I was never allowed to sing the way I wanted to.

　　他們從來不容許我按我自己的想法演唱。
