第十四章 介詞 inside 和into 的用法

　　1. inside:

　　l)在里面：

　　They did a lot of work inside the trade unions?

　　他們在工會內(nèi)做了許多工作。

　　He had only been inside the house twice.

　　這屋子他只進去過兩次。

　　2)到里面：

　　I went quickly inside the drawing room.

　　我快步走進客廳。

　　Don't let the dog come inside the house.

　　不要讓狗到屋里來。

　　2. into:

　　l)進入：

　　Then they drove into Lundon.

　　然后他們開車進入倫敦。

　　I'll see you into the train.

　　我送你上火車。

　　Let's go into that room.

　　咱們到那屋里去。

　　2)使成為：

　　We must put these theories into practice.

　　我們必須把這些理論付諸實踐。

　　Put this into English.

　　把這譯為英語。

　　I can't put them into words.

　　我不能用言語把它們表達出來。

　　3)進入(某種狀態(tài)):

　　All the workers then went into action.

　　這時所有工人都行動起來。

　　They all burst into laughter.

　　他們都哈哈大笑起來。

　　The plant went into production last year.

　　這家工廠是去年投產(chǎn)的。

　　4)用于某些成語：

　　They worked far into the night.

　　他們一直干到深夜。

　　we'll have to go into that later on.

　　這些問題我們只好以后再研究。

　　I won’t go into details now.

　　現(xiàn)在我就不細談了。

　　They are making inquiries into this matter.

　　他們正在調(diào)查這件事。

　　Coming out, he ran into Peter.

　　他出來時碰到了彼得。

　　You'll get into trouble if you're careless like that.
