第十四章 介詞 from 的用法

　　1. from:

　　l)從(某時起):

　　From sunrise to Sunset he waited.

　　從太陽升起到日落他一直等待著。

　　They're busy from morning till night.

　　他們從早忙到晚。

　　She had liked him from the day she met him.

　　從認(rèn)識他以來她一直喜歡他。

　　2)從(某地):

　　The train goes from Paris to London.

　　這趟火車從巴黎開往倫敦。

　　Even from far a way she could see the smile on Mary's face.

　　即使從遠(yuǎn)處她也可以看到瑪麗臉上的笑容。

　　She approached him from behind.

　　她從后面向他走來。

　　3)來自：

　　Where do you come from?

　　你是哪里人?

　　This is Miss Thomas from New York.

　　這是來自紐約的湯瑪斯小姐。

　　It'll be from both of us.

　　它將是我們兩人送你的。

　　4)由于，因?yàn)椋?/p>

　　He felt tired from arguing.

　　他辯論得累了。

　　She felt weak from lack of sleep.

　　5)離……多遠(yuǎn)：

　　It's far from here.

　　始離這里很遠(yuǎn)。

　　The house is two miles from the village.

　　房子離村莊有兩英里遠(yuǎn)。

　　Far from eye, far from heart.

　　眼不見，心不煩。(諺)

　　6)從……看，根據(jù)：

　　From his appearance, you wouldn't think he was old.

　　從他的外表看，你不會認(rèn)為他老了。

　　From her looks you would say she was about twenty.

　　從她的外貌看，你會說她約莫一十歲。

　　From what I heard，the driver was to blame.

　　根據(jù)我聽到的情況看，開車的人有責(zé)任。
