但是bear同學(xué)總是說rules are rules.
Franklin and the Bus Patrol
Franklin could count by twos ans tie his shoes. He liked base ball and soccer and always try to play by the rules. But making sure that his friends followed the rules was a responsibility Franklin wasn't quite prepared for.
Get ready, Rabbit. I'm going to hit it a mile!
Way back, Rabbit.
Whoo-hoo!
You're out!
What?!
You never touched home plate, so you're out.
Aw, that's not fair. I was there way before the ball was!
Bear's right. The rules say you have to touch home plate.
But I didn't know I had to step on the plate.
Well, I guess we can count it this time, right Franklin?
Sure. Great hit, Raccoon.
Thanks. I'll touch home next time for sure.
In recongnition of Bus Safety Month, every student who follows all of our bus safety rules, will receive a "Trusty the Bus Rider Pal" certificate.
Wow! Neat!
I want one of those!
I'm going to hang it in my room!
Now, dose anyone know our first rule of Bus Safety? Yes, Bear?
Rule Number one:" Stay seated while bus is moving." and number two is "No shouting". Number three is "Never stick your arm out the window".Number four is ...
Very good, Bear. But it's not a race. Uh...please give me time to catch up...
Sorry.
I think Bear really likes to follow the rules, Mr Owl.
Well then, I think Bear will make a very fine Bus Patrol Officer.
Bus Patrol Officer? What's that?
The Bus Patrol Officer's job is to make sure that everyone is riding the bus in a safe manner.
Wow! Look at the neat badge! It's even made of real metal!
Way to go! Bear!
Being a Bus Patrol office is an honour, and also a big responsibility. IF anyone disabeys the rule, you'll have to give them a ticket. And anyone who receives too many tickets will not earn the honour of becoming a Trusty the Bus Rider Pal. Alright then, class... can anyone, um, besides Bear, that is, tell me rule number five?
Wait till you see what I've got, Franklin.
Wow! A Super Bouncer Ball!
They bounce like crazy!
They sure do!
Watch this!
Come back here.
Sorry, Rabbit.
What for?
I have to give you a ticket.
Why? I didn't do anything.
Rule Number I, remember? Stay seated while the bus is moving.
But I was just getting my ball...
You should have waited for the bus to stop.
Yeah, I know, but...
Sorry, Rabbit, but rules are rules.
Hmph. I thought we were friends.
Hi, Bear... I mean..Officer Bear.
No funny, Franklin.
What's wrong?
I thought being Bus Patrol Officer was going to be fun.. but it wasn't much fun giving Rabbit a ticket. I think maybe he's mad at me.
But that was Rabbit's fault. He didn't follow the rules.
I guess so, but... I still feel bad about giving him a ticket. We're friends.
You did the right thing, Bear. Rules are rules, even for friends.
Yeah, you're right, Franklin. Rules are rules, thanks.
Great drawing, Skunk. The water looks like almost real!
Thanks! I still have to finish the- Oops!
I got it!
Huh?... Aren't you going to bring it back to me, Franklin?
I can't get out of my seat while the bus is moving.
But I want to finish it.
No problem, Skunk...catch!
Thanks, Franklin.
Who's that for, Bear?
You, Franlin.
Good one, Bear. Who's really getting it?
You are, Franklin.
But I didn't get out of my seat!
But you broke Rule number six: No throwing things on the bus.
Gee, Bear. It was just a piece of paper. And it didn't hit anybody.
I could have, or you might have bothered the driver. That could cause an accident.
But I won't get my Satety Certificate.
I know, but rules are still rules, even for best friends.
Lucky for me I don't have more best friends.
He's only been Bus Patorl Officer for one week.
Yeah, and he's already got everybody into trouble.
I got a ticked for making too much noise.
And I got one for sticking my wing out the window. I just wanted to see if was raining.
He got me into trouble for running across the road to get on the bus.
If I was Bus Patorl Officer, I wouldn't get my friends into trouble.
Yeah, too bad Mr. Owl didn't pick you, Franklin.
Yeah, Franklin wouldn't give us ticket.
That's right.
He'd be the best Bus Patrol Officer ever.
Bear, you've done a wonderful job as Bus Patrol Officer these last two weeks.I hope you don't mind if I ask someone else to take a turn?
No, I don't mind it at all.
Neither do we.
Yes, Rabbit?
I nomiate Franklin to be the Bus Patorl Officer.
Yeah- I vote for Franklin.
Me too.
Well, Franklin. It seem unanimous. Congratulations
Wow!
Congratulations, Franklin!
Yeah, Franklin.
See, Bear?... Being Bus Patrol Officer isn't so hard.
Just wait, Franklin. This is your first day, and the bus hasn't even started moving yet.
Where'd you get the balloon?
My cousin had a birthday party yesterday. She gave me some extras to take home.
Hey, Skunk- over here!
But we're not supposed to throw things.
Don't worry. Franklin won't give his friends any tickets. He even said so, remember?
You said that?
That was before I knew I was going to be Bus Patrol Officer.
Uh oh...
Who wants one?
Me, me, me too.
With Franklin as Bus Patrol Officer, our worries are over.
It's like a party.
Um...guys? Don't you think maybe we should, uh...quiet down a bit? Mr. Fox can't concentrate on his driving...
Coming to you, Reccoon!
It's going out the window!
Not if I can help it!
What in tarnation?!?! You kids know better than to carry on like this. A safe bus is a bus where the passengers obey the rules! I can't concentrate with such a commotion, and the last thing I want to do is get into an accident! Now, I want everyone sitting in their seats QUIElY. Not a word for rest of the trip!
Gee, Bear, thing sure went a lot smoother on the bus when you were in charge.
Being a Bus Patrol Officer sure seems like a tough job!
And we made it even tougher by acting up.
Gee, I sure hope Mr. Owl never asks me to be a Bus Patrol Officer.
Or me..
If everyone just followed the rules, being a Bus Patrol Officer wouldn't be so bad.
Yeah, you get to wear a badge and everything.
And rules are there for a good reason.
And ten rules aren't that hard to remember.
You mean eleven, Bear.
Eleven? What's Rule Number Eleven?
Here.. They're printed on the back of the ticket book.
No eating on the bus? But...
Rules are rules, Bear. Even for hungry friends!
Excuse me.
