Marni: Lily, you just got back from Europe.
Lily,你剛從歐洲回來。
Lily: Yeah.

Marni: How did you get around? It seems like you covered a lot of ground. Did you take trains, busses, fly?

Marni: Really? Because it seems like you can’t really judge the situation. You don’t know what the driver is thinking. You’re just the passenger. They could look really normal, and yet, they’re just a psychopath!

As long as you take care of yourself and you make sure that you don’t put yourself in a bad situation, and you judge the situation, you can’t really go wrong.
真實(shí)條件句
真實(shí)條件句主要用于討論一般事實(shí)，或是在某種情況下大部分時(shí)間為真實(shí)的事情。
例：It’s pretty much always true that if it rains, stuff gets wet.
如果下雨，一般東西都會(huì)被淋濕。
很容易造真實(shí)條件句，因?yàn)樗袆?dòng)詞都是現(xiàn)在時(shí)。使用兩個(gè)從句，第一個(gè)if+一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)動(dòng)詞，第二個(gè)也用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)動(dòng)詞。
例：If students miss an exam, the professor fails them.
如果學(xué)生錯(cuò)過了考試，教授會(huì)讓他們掛科。
也可以把兩個(gè)從句位置調(diào)換。
例：The professor fails students if they miss an exam.
這種句式也可以用來在某種情況下給予指示。
例：If I’m (I am) late for dinner, start eating without me.
如果我晚飯來晚了，就不用等我開餐了。
