這是個(gè)千載難逢的機(jī)會(huì)。

blue moon 在現(xiàn)代天文學(xué)意義上指：“一個(gè)月中的第二次滿月”，由于月運(yùn)周期是29.5天，而根據(jù)日歷，每個(gè)月大多數(shù)都有至少30天，因此，大約每32個(gè)月才會(huì)出現(xiàn)一次一個(gè)月兩次圓月的現(xiàn)象。所以這個(gè)習(xí)語(yǔ)用以形容這種罕見(jiàn)的天文現(xiàn)象，后來(lái)引申為：“極為罕見(jiàn)的事情，千載難逢的機(jī)會(huì)”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"This is a chance once in a blue moon."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"It is a golden opportunity."、"It is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."。
