Jonathan Gold is visiting Tokyo from London .

喬納森·戈爾德自倫敦到東京參觀游覽。

He is asking the foreign exchange clerk at the Higashi Bank about remittances from London .

他正向東銀行負責外匯的職員詢問有關(guān)來自倫敦的匯款事宜。

Gold:Would you please tell me what I should do to have funds transferred to me here from London ?

戈爾德：請您告訴我，我應(yīng)當怎樣做才能請人從倫敦把?？钷D(zhuǎn)帳到我這里呢?

Clerk:The fastest way is by telegraphic transfer from your bank in London to us.

職員：最快的辦法是讓您在倫敦的銀行電匯到我們這里。

G:It's from my company.I think they were going to send me a check .Can you cash it into pounds for me ?

戈爾德：錢是我們公司寄來的。我想他們會給我寄一張支票，您能為我把那張支票兌換成英鎊嗎?

C:Yes,we can ,but it will take about 10 days to collect the proceeds if the check is drawn on a London bank .

If you ask your company to apply for a check drawn on a Tokyo bank ,we can cash it right away .

G:How would the do that?

C:Through your company bank in London .The bank can issue a banker's check drawn on their correspondent here in Tokyo .

They can issue it in pounds or yen ,whichever you prefer .

倫敦的銀行能夠以英鎊或日元開出銀行支票，您選擇哪一種都可以。

G:I need pounds .

戈爾德：我需要英鎊。

C:Then I think you should ask them to issue a pound check drawn on our bank.

職員：那么，我認為您應(yīng)當要求那么的銀行開出一張能夠在我們銀行支取英鎊的支票，

That would be the easiest .I'm sure we have a correspondent relationship with your bank as we maintain a correspondent relationship with most of the large banks in London .

這將是最為簡便的方法。我想信我們與您的銀行有往來行關(guān)系。因為我們與倫敦大多數(shù)銀行保持著往來行關(guān)系。

G:I will write and ask them to do that.Then,if I need yen ,I can exchange some pounds for yen ?

C:Yes,that's right .No problem at all.
