Late in the afternoon, the boys put up their tent inthe middle of a field. As soon as thiswas done, theycooked a meal over an open fire. They were allhungry and the food smelt good. After a wonderfulmeal, they told stories and sang songs by the campfire. But some time later it began to rain. Theboysfelt tired so they pet out the fire and crept intotheir tent. Their sleeping-bags were warm andcomfortable, so they all slept soundly. In themiddle of the night, two boys woke upandbegan shouting. Thetent was full of water! They all leapt out of their sleeping-bags andhurried outside. It was raining heavily and they found that a stream had formed in the field.The stream woundits way across the fieldand then flowed right under their tent!
