1. as it is [was]

(1) 表示：事實上(通常置于句首)。如：

I hoped things would get better, but as it is they are getting worse. 我原希望情況會好轉(zhuǎn)，但實際上是越來越糟。

As it is we can hardly get to the station by five o’clock. 事實上我們在6點鐘以前是很難趕到車站的。

As it was he stole our money. 事實上是他偷了我們的錢。

(2) 表示：照現(xiàn)在的樣子；照原來的樣子(通常置于句末)。如：

2. as it were

3. as you were

(1) 用于軍隊操練及類似場合，表示恢復(fù)原來的姿式，意為：原地不動；復(fù)原；恢復(fù)原來的姿式。

(2) 用來糾正自己說錯的話，意為：不；不對；錯了；對不起，我說錯了。如：

I saw Smith，as you were, I mean Brown. 我看見了史密斯，哦，不，我是指布朗。

See you at the station at eight, as you were, nine o’clock. 8點鐘車站見，不對不對，9點鐘車站見。
