第6單元 憤怒管理
I thought I was a calm and collected person until one day at the office when my anger got the best of me. I was in a meeting and I felt like I wasn't being listened to. I felt that my ideas were being put down and people were interrupting me. I couldn't take it and I shouted, “Listen to me!”
我以前以為我是個冷靜的人直到有天在辦公室我才知道原來我也有控制不住脾氣的時候。當(dāng)時在開會我覺得別人都沒在聽我講話,我的意見被批評,說話也被打斷,我忍不住地大喊:“聽我說話!”
My sudden outburst made the room go very quiet and I felt embarrassed. I definitely didn'thandle my emotions very well! Not long after the incident, a colleague of mine came to myrescue. She took me for lunch and gave me a book to read.
突然的發(fā)飆讓辦公室瞬間鴉雀無聲,而我覺得很尷尬,我顯然沒有好好控制情緒!這件事發(fā)生沒多久,一位同事成了我的救星,她找我去吃午餐,并給了我一本書閱讀,這是一本有關(guān)了解情緒的書。
It was a book about recognizing your feelings so you can understand them and not let themcontrol you. It gave me lessons to follow and some great advice. I feel I have come a long way. The other day my supervisor pulled me into her office and told me she recognized animprovement in my attitude. It felt great to hear this and gave me the encouragement I needed to continue working on myself.
一旦了解后就不會被情緒所控制,它給了我許多值得遵守的訓(xùn)誡以及一些很棒的忠告,我覺得自己大有進(jìn)步。有一天,我的上司找我去她的辦公室,并告訴我她覺得我的態(tài)度大有改善,我很高興聽到她這么說,這給了我鼓勵,讓我繼續(xù)工作下去。
