1. 解詞釋義
Pay a call的字面意思是“打完電話后付費(fèi)”，引申為“拜訪”的意思。有這樣一種猜想：有了電話后，人們相互之間的聯(lián)系方便多了，去別人家拜訪前一般先得打個(gè)電話預(yù)約。打電話是要付費(fèi)用的，所以人們就用“付電話費(fèi)”來表示“去別人家拜訪”。
