　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Account有很多不同的解釋，它既可以做名詞，也可以做動(dòng)詞用。Bring sb to account中的account是名詞，意思是“解釋，說(shuō)明”，整個(gè)短語(yǔ)的意思是“要求某人做解釋”“要求某人做說(shuō)明”“唯某人是問(wèn)”，帶有“要某人負(fù)責(zé)，或者是責(zé)怪批評(píng)某人”的意味。因此，對(duì)話中的“The teacher will bring you to account.”的意思是“老師會(huì)要求你解釋的。”

　　2. 拓展范例

　　e.g. Jack was brought to account for the missing cash.

　　杰克被要求對(duì)這筆遺失的現(xiàn)金作出解釋。

　　e.g. He has been brought to account for his conduct.

　　他被要求解釋他的行為。

　　Ps 1：miss one exam的意思是“沒(méi)有參加考試，錯(cuò)過(guò)考試”。

　　Ps 2：get prepared的意思是“做好準(zhǔn)備”。例如：

　　Get prepared so that you can set off immediately if something happens.做好準(zhǔn)備, 一旦有事, 馬上出動(dòng)。

　　We will arrive at the berth in half an hour. Please tell the crew to get prepared. 還有半個(gè)小時(shí)抵達(dá)泊位，請(qǐng)通知船員做好準(zhǔn)備。
