話說火車站
A railway station is perhaps the most crowded place in the world. It always leaves me such an impression.People, from almost all parts of the world, rush in and out of railway stations every day. They are completely strangers. They seldom look into each other's eyes, let alone speaking to each other. But ,perhaps, some day if something unusual happens, things will be different. Two strangers might not only get to know each other, but also become life-long friends. So,in some story-teller's eyes a railway station is usually the place where stories may happen.

A man intended to travel by train to Manchester. Before setting out,he looked up the times of the trains, and discovered that there was an eight o'clock train.
As he was walking to the station,he noticed one of his night watchmen.Knowing that the man had worked for the railway previously, the man asked him whether the eight o'clock was the faster train.
The watchman shook his head solemnly."Usually, the eight o'clock is very good," he said."But last night as I was sitting here,I had a terrible dream. In my dream,I saw a wrecked train.I knew it was tonight's eight o'clock train. There had been a dreadful accident and every one in the train had been killed.Don't go on that train tonight."
The man,who was superstitious, decided to wait for the next train and he reached Manchester. There ,to his horror,he learned that the night watchman had been right. The eight o'clock train had had an accident and all the passengers had been killed.
