2.run a tight ship ：對人或者事情很嚴格很嚴厲 means you are very strict

e.g. <1>My mother runs a tight ship; she makes me mop the floor every day.

<2>Coach makes us run 10kms before very practice. He runs a tight ship.

3.get snippy (with sb.) ： to be rude 尖刻，無理，粗暴

e.g. <1>My girlfriend gets snippy when I tell her I’m going out with the boys.

<2>Just because you don’t get your way, it doesn’t mean you have to get snippy.

事情不按你想的那樣進行并不意味著你就得這么粗暴。
